Meagan Harmon has experience representing clients on a diverse range of transactions, including the acquisition and development of commercial real estate, revolving credit facilities, subordinate and mezzanine financings, construction lending and ground leasing.

Prior to joining Hepner & Myers LLP, Meagan was a real estate associate in the Los Angeles office ofMorrison & Foerster, where she was lucky enough to work under the tutelage of Irv and Amanda. At Morrison & Foerster, Meagan represented institutional lenders, borrowers, developers and property owners.

Meagan earned her B.A. in history and Jewish studies from Wellesley College in 2008, her Master’s in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University in 2010, and her law degree in 2014 from New York University. After graduating from NYU, Meagan spent a year at Harvard Law School, where she taught and conducted research on effective implementation of humanitarian aid. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Meagan spent a number of years as an aid worker across the Middle East and North Africa, including a year in Afghanistan, where she worked to implement a large-scale humanitarian services project in villages across the county.

Meagan lives in Santa Barbara, where she represents her neighbors as a Councilwoman on the Santa Barbara City Council. She loves being part of city government and local politics and she is passionate about making life in Santa Barbara easier and more sustainable for working families.

Meagan’s most important job is as a mom to her awesome three-year old daughter, Maura, and a wife, to her equally awesome husband, Nick.
